New Norwich's recruitment consultancy, Cocoabean and East of England management consultancy Spirals are running a 10-week course in Norwich, starting next month on realising career aspirations and enhancing your life.

“When we were children we were sometimes asked 'what do you want to do when you grow up?' Even though those dreams may have changed, how many of us are living that exact career dream today?” said Cocoabean director, Mary Pratt. “Importantly, how many of us are still wishing we had lived, or could live, that dream?”

Indeed, Cocoabean's launch follows its own ethos - the name being chosen because, like the versatile cocoabean, people's careers can grow and evolve in many different directions, and must continue to evolve to survive.

"I have seen so many people fall down in achieving their dream many times whether that be through lack of motivation, not believing in their selves or alternatively just making do with things in their life which is completely wrong. Everyone deserves the best and with the right balance and refocus we can fire from all cylinders to ensure that we live our lives 100pc as opposed to the average 50pc.

“Our main aim is to make people stop and look at their lives. How many of us have thought 'is this it'.”

The course takes place once a week after work and takes you right through realising your potential. You'll work on your dreams, research what's possible, look at where you are currently, make an action plan, prepare a new CV or business plan, and get help with tough interviews or signposting for starting your own business. Extra help will be at hand from leading speakers and trainers to cover all aspects of life from fitness, style, motivation, and overcoming career bollards through to psychometric testing and even numerology.

'Often people are not living their dream because they don't think it's possible, or they don't know where to start,” said Jane Newell-Brown, from Spirals, who has designed this unique course with Mary. “Throughout the course we'll help delegates proactively search out their dream and make it happen with lots of support from experts and each other, along the way.”

The course will run from 6pm until 7.30pm from September 11 and every Monday thereafter for 10 weeks.

It costs just £98 with extra help from coaches and trainers available for an additional fee.
