Do you want to learn how to make your company a better place to work, improve its productivity, and help it become more appealing to new recruits?
Those are among the topics which will be discussed at the launch event for Best Employers Eastern Region, an initiative to recognise and celebrate the top companies to work for in the region.
The event in Newmarket next Tuesday will explore in depth how companies can monitor and improve their employee engagement, with the overall aim of making the region better known as a great place to work.
The Best Employers project, which has been updated for 2018, is a partnership between recruitment company Pure, Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times publisher Archant, psychometric testing experts Eras and regional law firm Birketts.
READ MORE: Best Employers: The search begins to find the best companies to work for in East AngliaMore than 150 business leaders and HR professionals will attend the event next week, when three speakers will explore the different ways in which businesses can value and motivate staff.
They include Ian Watson, the first chief executive from outside the founding family to lead Start-Rite Shoes, who will explain how he has brought staff with him as he has sought to update and reform the 226-year-old Norfolk company.
Minnie Moll, joint chief executive of the East of England Co-op, will discuss the company's community involvement and an unusual leadership structure which sees five people share chief executive duties.
Guests will also hear from Ian White, of Beckett Investment Management Group, a 50-strong SME with its head office in Bury St Edmunds, who will lay out how it has grown by using employee engagement as a way to retain and attract staff.
Lynn Walters, executive director of Pure, said: 'This is a chance to share great ideas being used across the region, update people on what's new in Best Employers for 2018 but also spark curiosity about how they can increase productivity, happiness and engagement levels across their organisation or within their own teams.
'We've selected leaders from three very different organisations to speak. They reflect the breadth of organisations we have in this region.
'We have a huge number of SMEs and successful businesses in this region, and there should be something there that connects with everyone.
'We want the East of England to be the best place to work – and this is a great place for us to showcase that.'

Companies take part in the free programme by asking staff to fill in a confidential survey, then receive a full report with recommendations on how they can improve.
They are then supported through the process by the project partners at a series of seminars and events, which begin with Tuesday's event.
The top employers from the survey will be recognised at an awards ceremony in September, while companies can also apply accreditation – a kitemark showing it is an employer of choice.
