An award-winning hotel and restaurant in King's Lynn is up for sale for £1.9m.
The Bank House hotel is located in the medieval quarter of the town in King's Staithe Square overlooking the River Great Ouse.
Beneath the 18th century Grade II* Listed building are barrel vaulted cellars which stored imported wine and stretches all the way beneath King's Staithe Square.
The hotel and restaurant has been run by its current owners, Anthony and Jeanette Goodrich, for 10 years.
Mr and Mrs Goodrich also run the Rose and Crown in Snettisham and bought the former probation offices on Purfleet Quay, to convert them into a restaurant, last year.Speaking at the time of purchasing the building in April 2017, the couple said they were to transform the offices into a hotel and bar.
They said they were looking to move on from Bank House in order to concentrate on building their other business, adding: 'We are very proud of what we have achieved at Bank House in building it up to be the place to eat, drink, and stay in King's Lynn, and believe it has terrific potential for growth, benefitting from the town's ongoing regeneration programme and the exciting waterfront development proposals currently being drawn up.'
Earlier this month, West Norfolk council's planning committee agreed to plans for a floating restaurant beside the historic dock next to the Custom House.
The work will create a berth for a 150ft sailing ship which will operate as a bar and restaurant. As well as seating on board, the ship will also serve tables and chairs on the quayside and what is currently a raised performance area.
The Bank House hotel includes 12 ensuite bedrooms, bar and dining area suitable for 150 people and outdoor seating for a further 60 guests. The property is currently on the market for £1.9m.
