After the success of its first Hygge in March, Deepdale Backpackers & Camping is to host its first music festival at the end of September.
There will be music, spoken word, dance and more across two stages, the campsite, and secret venues on the farm at Burnham Deepdale over the weekend of September 22 to 24.
Deepdale Festival is the brain child of Chris Haycock and Jason Borthwick, who now run the tourism accommodation.
Having carried out a number of renovations and improvements to the facilities they are now keen to put Deepdale back on the music map, by creating a wide and varied programme of music and other events.
The music festival builds on the legacy of Deepdale Jazz Festivals, that many remember fondly, and from the festivals that Mr Haycock has run prior to taking on the management of Deepdale.
Their focus will be on home grown talent with a main stage in the Brick Barn in the hostel courtyard and an acoustic stage in the Orchard Tent at the back of the Dalegate Market.
The programme is still being worked on but acts announced so far include Little Red Kings, Jess Morgan, Marina Florance, Pepper and Shepherd, Georgina Shackleton trio, Falling From Trees, Kolin Durier, the Tin Heart Troubadors, Matt Watson, Homefires and Ardeth Bay.
Other attractions include street food, street entertainment, festival stalls, spoken word and dance.
Mr Haycock said: 'When Jason approached me to take on the running of Deepdale, he knew I was keen to develop a music programme.
'Being a drummer and a huge fan of all genres of music, it's going to be fantastic to welcome so many great musicians to Deepdale Festival.
'It will be the pinnacle of our music year at Deepdale.'
Although the fstival is primarily for those staying in the hostels and on the campsite at Deepdale, there are a limited number of tickets available to those staying elsewhere or living locally.
Tickets for those not staying are £15 per adult and £7.50 per child, which is a weekend ticket getting you into the live music areas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
