A burst water main at Framingham Pigot left a main route in and out of Norwich blocked.
The A146 was blocked after the water main burst earlier on Monday morning.
Police, highways and the fire service were called as traffic faced disruption and debris was left on the road.
Repairs have now been completed on the stretch and traffic is back to normal.
