A burglar was disturbed by homeowners who heard a noise coming from a room in their house on Cranley Road.
The man had forced his way into a room and when he was disturbed by one of the home owners, he ran and was chased by the owner.
But the suspect managed to get away.
Nothing was stolen in the incident which took place on Wednesday, February 3 at around 7.30pm.
The suspect is described as a white, around 5ft 10in and wearing a black bomber-style jacket, dark-coloured trousers and wearing a dark-coloured beanie hat rolled up above his ears.
