A Suffolk micro brewery is toasting success on the international stage after bringing home two gold medals in the World Beer Awards.

St Peter's Brewery, which is based in Bungay, claimed a double win at the awards, which were announced at the Olympia in London.

Both its Ruby Red Ale and Black IPA scooped gold medals in their respective categories during the event, which made up part of the World Drinks Awards.

The competition saw the two beers compete against hundreds of others, undergoing rigorous testing and tasting before being announced as winners.

Steve Magnall, St Peter's chief executive, said: 'These gold medals recognise the hard work and dedication of our team and are a clear endorsement of the excellent quality beers we are brewing.

'The brewery is going from strength to strength and awards such as these are a fantastic achievement.'
