A bull has been rescued after it got stuck in mud in West Norfolk.

Fire crews from West Walton, Terrington St Clement and two from King's Lynn were called to Walpole Marsh just after 6.50pm on Saturday to reports that a bull had got stuck in the mud.

Firefighters and a vet battled for more than two hours to try and release the animal using strops, a lifting bar and mechanical digger to try and free it from the mud. The animal was released just after 10pm.
