A builder has been left unable to work and suffering constant headaches after he suffered a fractured skull in an attack in broad daylight in Watton High Street.

Neil Moffett, aged 18, was knocked unconscious after he was hit in the back of the head and fell hitting his skull on the pavement in the attack last Thursday near to the Willow House Inn at about 5.30pm.

Mr Moffett, of West Road, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospit-al, where doctors used an adhesive to seal up the split in his skull.

He was discharged after a day but has been told that he will not be able to go to work for at least six weeks and will need regular check-ups.

Norfolk police, who have appealed for witnesses, arrested three men in their early 20s on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and have released one man without charge and the other two on bail pending further inquiries.
