An international DJ, producer and singer will be in Lowestoft this weekend.

Suffolk Artlink is giving budding young DJs the chance to take part in a DJ open mic event taking place at Sam's Café on Saturday, April 1 between 2pm and 5pm.

DJ Tallulah Goodtimes will be attending to help anyone wishing to have a go. Complete beginners are welcome, as are more seasoned young DJs. This free event is open to all budding DJs aged between 11 and 18 and offers 15 minute DJ slots to participants, bookable on the afternoon.

It forms part of the arts charity's Rock Up project, which offers young people in Lowestoft a range of ways to develop their musical interests and talents through weekly music sessions held every Wednesday evening at Colville House Senior Youth Club.

Candida Wingate, Suffolk Artlink project officer, said: 'We are really excited to offer this opportunity to young people in Lowestoft through our new open mic night at Sam's Café.'
