Breckland's very own version of the Olympic torch relay reached Swanton Morley on horseback yesterday in the penultimate stage of its tour of the district.
The friendship flame travelled from Beetley to Swanton Morley, near Dereham, with Helen Fletcher and her daughter Mia, aged eight, on their horses Roly and Bertie.
Children at village hall event took turns to run on the playing field with the torch, which was created to help the district join the Olympic build up despite the official flame by-passing the area.
Mrs Fletcher said: 'I think it's fantastic having seen how many events people have organised to tie in with the Breckland torch going around.'
