Brandon's Christmas lights switch-on saw the sky dazzle as much the town as a fireworks spectacular signalled the start of the festive season.
The town's annual Christmas Fayre took place yesterday on Market Hill, with hundreds turning out to get in the yuletide spirit.
Father Christmas arrived at 4pm to get the party started, with town crier Mike Wabe welcoming residents to the fun.
People were then able to enjoy a variety of stalls, funfair rides, cakes and hot drinks, while a Christmas grotto and face painting kept children entertained.
And Heathen provided a soundtrack, performing a medley of Christmas hits.
The town's lights were switched on by David Bimson, chairman of Forest Heath District Council at 5.45pm.
The switch-on was followed by a fireworks finale.
