A super slimmer shed almost eight stone after being inspired to lose weight after being asked to be chief bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding.
Tina Holland, 47, has lost 7st 10lb since joining the Slimming World group in Bradwell 18 months ago.
Tina said: 'I knew there was a slimming group near me, so I joined before telling her yes. I promised to lose 100lb by the wedding, and I went on to lose 108lb!'
Before she set off on her slimming path, Tina suffered health problems, with a previously diagnosed osteoarthritis condition, which was exacerbated by her weight.
'I was in so much pain. I could hardly move. The excess weight sure didn't help. With Slimming World the support I needed was there right from day one. It was inspiring to hear from other people who'd lost weight.'
As the weight came off Tina decided to try increasing her activity levels. She began slowly by walking and introduced water aerobics until being active was part of her routine. Now she regularly enjoys seated exercise classes, water aerobics, zumba and even had the confidence to join a gym.
Mum-of-two Tina enjoys some form of activity now at least five times a week.

'Before losing weight the most exercise I did was walking to the fridge and cupboards,' she laughed.
She said: 'When I first joined Slimming World, I made my daughter go in first, to see if it was okay. She literally had to push me in the door. Walking through those doors was one of the hardest I've ever done. But I needn't have worried.
'My friends and family are really proud of me for doing something about my weight. They have been great support, especially my children and friend Lindsey. I have to text them straight away after weigh-in, to tell them how I've got on. My daughter Chey makes sure I stick to plan and my son Lee helps me with meals and coming up with different recipes.
'Since losing the weight I now go to visit friends, go on nights out and attend parties. I do things with my daughter, like clothes shopping and visit my Mum more often. My daughter says she has her Mum back!
'The look on people's faces that haven't seen me in ages is priceless and I am now able to buy clothes from any shop I want now.'
'I still experience pain, that won't change but I'm so much more mobile. I use walking aids but I'm no longer sat on the couch anymore. I've recently had my Wellwoman check and my chance of a heart attack or stroke is now 3.4pc!
'I suffered with constant chest infections before and found it hard to breathe. I've been antibiotic free now for over a year and I'm no longer on steroids.'
Karley Manthorpe, who runs the Bradwell group, which Tina attends, said: 'Everyone at the group is so proud of Tina. She's a huge inspiration, unrecognisable from the woman who walked in 18 months ago. She's shown that making small changes to the way you eat and becoming more active bit by bit make a huge difference.'
