Boy taken to hospital after collision with car in Lowestoft
AN 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with head, shoulder and neck injuries after he was involved in a collision with a car in Lowestoft this morning (Friday).
Police and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to St Peters Street just after 8am this morning following reports that the youngster had suffered injuries, which were not thought to be life thretening.
'We were called at 8.07am by the ambulance service and the road was closed at the St Peters Street roundabout after the young boy was in collision with a silver Vauxhall car at the junction with Reeve Street,' a police spokesman said.
'He was conscious and suffered head, shoulder and neck injuries which are not life threatening.'
The road was reopened just after 8.40am as the 11-year-old boy was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for treatment.
