A teenager has been arrested in connection with an arson attack on a church which left more than 20 community groups homeless.

The 14-year-old Norwich boy was arrested on Friday and has now been released on police bail pending further inquiries following the arson at St Thomas's Church hall in Earlham Road, Norwich, in May.

Fire experts believe the blaze was started after a break in which the police are also investigating. More than 20 firefighters tackled the blaze after the alarm was raised by the landlord of the neighbouring Mitre pub.

Officers are continuing to appeal for information about the incident. Contact Det Con Trevor Murphy at Norwich CID on 0845 4564567 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
