A boozy night on the Broads ended in a rescue last night as the group's boat battery went flat.
Nine people were taken back from Hickling Broad just after 11pm when the battery on their electric boat failed.
Watch Officer Young said the group had clearly been drinking and were taken back to land at the Ferry Boat in Gorleston where, he said, 'they could continue their evening'.
