Fundraisers from the Lowestoft-based Lauren Lou appeal, which continues to raise money and awareness in aid of cancer charities, have been kept busy with a series of events.
On Friday, May 26 the group held a street collection in Beccles town centre for Breast Cancer Care and raised £442.65.
Gary Bennett, from the Lauren Lou appeal, 'Thank you to my volunteers, without them we could not raise the thousands of pounds we do and thank you to the amazingly kind public who gave so generously.'
Earlier that week, the group held a two-day collection at the Tesco store in Leisure Way, Gunton for its local cancer appeals fund – collecting £1,228.33.
Mr Bennett said: 'What fantastic, generous customers Tesco has. Thank you to them and the management and staff who made us so welcome, and thank you to my volunteers who continue to volunteer for our great cancer fundraising cause.'
