Acclaimed authors treated school children in Norfolk this week to a display of writing and knife juggling.
Beeston Hall School in West Runton celebrated the start of their annual Book Week with a visit from children's authors Vivian French and Julian Sedgwick.
The pupils were joined by over 160 other children from local primary schools from across Norfolk. Children were spellbound as Vivian, author of over 300 books, explained how she chooses words, where her ideas come from and how her childhood dislike of her younger brother, led to her first book about pigs.
The following day, Julian Sedgwick, author of The Mysterium Trilogy and Ghost of Shanghai, gave a presentation about his desire to write, his time spent in Japan and was able to treat the children to a death defying display of knife juggling. These talks were part of a host of events that are taking place throughout book week, which runs from February 24 to March 3.
