A Norwich writing group is publishing a new book to mark the start of Dementia Awareness Week on Monday, May 15.

The Ex Cathedra Norwich writers are publishing the book of short stories called Ten Minute Tales.

The idea behind the book is to meet the needs of those experiencing memory loss or who suffer with a short attention span. The stories featured are short with straight forward plots with limited characters.

Featured on the cover of the book is Cromer beach which was painted by Norwich artist Peter Jamieson. There are also poems and illustrations throughout.

The book has been published by Norwich-based Smokehouse Press and has been supported by Norfolk Public Health and Library Services. Copies are being donated to libraries and care homes or can be purchased for £7.50 with profits being donated to the Alzheimer's Society.
