A WOMAN'S body has been found on a beach in Great Yarmouth this morning.

After a report from a member of the public at 7.45am, police cordoned off an area of beach about 200 yards north of Britannia pier.

The death is being treated as unexplained.

One observer, who did not want to be named, said: 'There must have been about five or six police cars and a police van, and they pulled into a car park nearby.

'They all got out of their cars and ran down the beach, and it looked like they had found a body by the edge of the sea, which they put in a bag. There were forensics there, too.'
