LORNA MARSH
A Norfolk-based cancer charity is seeking a new chief executive.
Big C is looking for someone willing to take on the role after its boss, Alison Lanchester, steps down for a salary of £42,000.
The charity said: "We now seek an exceptional individual to lead, manage and inspire our committed and able team of staff and volunteers and to work effectively with the board of trustees to enable us to develop the charity's work."
The charity has a budget in the region of £1m. It recently passed a major fundraising milestone with donations topping the £10m mark
and opened a £1m family centre at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital to give support and information to those affected by cancer in a friendly, non-clinical environment.
Mrs Lanchester, 43, who has been chief executive for two-and-a-half years, is to become director of fundraising and marketing at St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich.
Swannington Manor will be opening its gardens to the public next Sunday in aid of Big C and Swannington Church. Entry will be £3 and the gardens will be open from 2pm to 5pm.
Big C can be contacted on 01603 619900.
