A big band concert at Dereham Memorial Hall on Saturday will raise money towards a vital piece of equipment for people suffering from liver disease.
The Norfolk & Norwich Liver Group is raising funds for a portable fibroscan, a liver scanner which costs around £50,000, for use at the Norfolk
& Norwich University Hospital.
The charity has already purchased two fibroscans which are in constant use and, in many cases, negate the need for patients to have dangerous protracted liver biopsies.
To support the funds Dereham mayor Phillip Duigan is holding an Easter concert with the Jonathan Wyatt Big Band. They will play music from 1940s rat pack shows through to the present day. Tickets are available by calling 01362 690969. The concert starts at 7.30pm. Visit www.derehammemorialhall.co.uk.
