Jack Ewins, a Beccles native who now lives in London, was invited to attend the premier by the film's director Colin Trevorrow and Universal Studios, after he and a friend, Timothy Glover, created the official website for Masrani, the company run by park owner Simon Masrani in the film.

The two met over Twitter and created a fansite for the film in December 2013 when it was still called Jurassic Park 4.

Mr Ewins said: 'Tim's idea for this website was to recreate a site for the fictional company Patel, which would then become Masrani later down the line. I loved the concept and was delighted he asked me to join him.'

It took the pair two weeks to complete the site which quickly gathered attention from fans and eventually gained the attention of the film's director Mr Trevorrow.

'I remember getting an email from the Universal offices and doing a double take, because that kind of thing doesn't usually happen,' said the 26-year-old who moved to London to pursue a career in writing. 'But Universal has done an amazing job of creating a real relationship with the established fans of this once sleeping franchise.'

Mr Ewin's love affair with the Jurassic Park franchise started when he saw the first film as a four-year-old and credits the films as helping to shape his love of storytelling.

He and Mr Glover were flown out to LA in September to meet with Mr Trevorrow and producer Frank Marshall where they were given back story material to create the official Masrani website.

'It was a dream come true to write about these characters we had grown up with since 1993 and add official content to this franchise we know and love.

'Tim coded the site and I designed and photoshopped images for it. Both of us wrote the content which was edited by Colin himself – it was a real collaborative effort.'

The site has been a success with 2.5 million views last month and Mr Ewins said it has been fun watching people discussing its content.

The writer is now recovering back in London after attending the film's launch earlier this month and says he has more exciting things planned.

'It was a huge honour to go to the premier in LA and see the final product. The movie is fantastic and I can't wait to see it again and again - I've seen it five times already.

'Meeting the cast and crew was a pleasure as it really cemented how dedicated these guys are and proved that this movie really was made by fans for fans.

'For the future we have some secret things in the pipeline so watch this space and keep an eye on our website. It's certainly not over at this time.'
