Couple to open their gate to the public for 20th snowdrop day

A family home will open their doors for the 20th year to showcase their collection of several hundred named snowdrops for charity.
John and Brenda Foster of Gable House in Redisham, near Beccles said there will also be a large and “interesting collection” of trees, shrubs and perennials bulbs
The couple will be rasing funds for the National Garden Scheme, a charity which supports Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer care.
Brenda Foster said: ”Many of the snowdrops have scent which can be detected if the day is warm.
“We always hope for a sunny spring day, but we carry on whatever the weather.”
Some of the snowdrops as well as hardy cyclamen, aconites, crocus and other plants will be available to buy at the event.
The event will begin at 11am and run until 4.30pm on Sunday, February 17. Admission is £4.50 and children have a free entry into the event.
