Beach hut fire in Lowestoft is being treated as arson

A beach hut that was set on fire in Lowestoft is believed to have been started deliberately.

A fire crew from Lowestoft South were called just before 2.30am this morning (Sunday) to Nightingale Road.

They arrived to find a 10 by eight metre beach hut well alight.

Using one hose reel, the fire had been put out by 2.44am.

Police have been informed of the fire, which is being treated as arson.
