Barn fire near Briston

A barn has been destroyed by fire which broke out early this morning.

The rural blaze happened off Briston Road, between Saxthorpe, Corpusty and Briston, just after 3.30am.

Police officers, firefighters from Holt, Aylsham, Sprowston and Earlham, as well as a water carrier from Fakenham, were called.

Crews had put the fire out by 5am.

The barn was not part of a farm, but belonged to a private residence.
