The road was closed this afternoon between the roundabout at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Brow of the Hill junction at Bawsey

A man in his 30s was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after car hits a lamppost at the junction to the crematorium.

An ambulance spokesman said he was “conscious and breathing”.

Police closed the road for two hours while power lines were cleared.
