A respite care centre for children with complex needs can count on the support of the local community.
Little Acorns & Squirrels in Aylsham, which provides residential breaks for youngsters, has received a cheque for £6,215.47 from the town's Budgens store, which made the unit its charity of the year.
They plan to use the money, which was raised throughout the year with tombolas, cake stalls, raffles, a charity car wash and other fundraisers, to create a new play room and sensor room.
Sue Smith, team leader of Little Acorns & Squirrels, accepted the cheque from Michael Baker, managing director of C T Baker Group. She was joined by store manager Shane Woolston, along with assistants Joanne Galea, Ella Arnold, Claire Fowle and Nita Blayne.
