Many of last year’s winners were on show at the launch of the Norfolk Hero Food & Drink Awards 2018 today.

Organisers of the Aylsham Agricultural Show Association’s 12th annual awards were in the town’s Market Place alongside the farmers’ market giving out nomination forms.

Alex Haswell, the competition’s head steward, said: “Several of last year’s winners were present including Yare Valley Oils, Surlingham, who won best specialist food or drink supplier, Norton’s Dairy, Frettenham, last year’s best food or drink retailer, and Vanvino, Wymondham, 2017’s best new food or drink venture. They displayed their products and held tasting events. We are looking for the public to nominate their favourites and we got some really good feedback.”

Michael Baker, winner of the 2017 Individual Food or Drink Hero award, will judge the overall winner of the four categories.
