Aylsham distraction burglary warning

Police are urging householders to be vigilant following a distraction burglary in Aylsham.

The burglary, at a house in Norwich Road, happened on Friday, June 15 sometime between 4.30pm and 5.50pm, when two men entered a house through an unlocked back door.

The suspects approached the elderly victims claiming they were at the address to carry out urgent repair work to the walls of the property, and then searched the upstairs bedrooms and stole a significant amount of cash before leaving the property.

Both suspects are described as white and were wearing dark clothing with baseball caps. They left the scene walking in the direction of the A140 roundabout on Norwich Road.
