Attleborough walker rescued in Peak District

Mountain rescue teams were called to the aid of a Norfolk holidaymaker who got lost whilst scaling the Peak District's highest mountain.

The walker, from Attleborough, was one of two people rescued on Saturday night after becoming disorientated whilst on Kinder Scout.

Around 60 volunteer rescuers were involved in the search for the pair and Search and Rescue Dogs Association handlers and animals were also involved following a call for help at about 7pm.

The holidaymakers, both in their early 20s, were from Plymouth and Attleborough. They were both found safe and well after getting lost in misty and cold conditions.
