A business in Attleborough has been caught selling alcohol to a 13-year-old in an operation coordinated by Norfolk Police and Norfolk Trading Standards.
Out of the three businesses checked during an operation in the town on June 6, two passed and one failed. The shop that failed, which has not been named by police, is the subject of a Norfolk County Council Trading Standards investigation.
PC Kate Watson, beat manager for Attleborough said: 'We regularly conduct such checks with our trading standards colleagues. It's vital to ensure that local businesses are trading responsibly, which most do.'
Maureen Cleall of Norfolk County Council Trading Standards added: 'We will be working closely with the owners of the business to ensure they take progressive steps to ensure this does not happen again.'
