A new speedwatch initiative hoping to slow drivers in a busy market town is seeking volunteers.
The Attleborough campaign was launched after the town council received complaints over motorists speeding in and around the town.
Tony Crouch, town councillor, said: 'There have been numerous complaints in to the town council about excess speed in the town. The police aren't able to be everywhere at once so we are hoping this will help.'
They are looking for six volunteers to help out for a couple of hours a month to get the scheme up and running.
Mr Crouch said volunteers will record details of speeding drivers and passing onto the police, while training will be provided by Norfolk Constabulary.
He said that speeding hotspots in the town included London Road, Norwich Road, Hargham Road, Old Buckenham Road, Queens Road and Blackthorn Road among others.
To get involved, contact Mr Crouch on 07980170278 or visit the council offices on Queens Square.
