It has provided care, comfort and friendship to people around a south Norfolk town since 1994.
And now the Attleborough Day Centre has been given a £728 by the town's Sainsbury's after it was named the supermarket's charity of the year. Emma Callaghan, day centre manager, said she was thrilled with the donation, which it would put towards providing a free befriending service and running activities and subsidised outings.
She said: 'We were delighted to be nominated by Sainsbury's as their local charity of the year.
'Not only has Sainsbury's been collecting cash donations in store for the past year totalling £728.00, but they have been supporting our coffee mornings sales with volunteers, baked goods and raffle prizes.'
The store has also used its collection boxes to gather raffle, tombola and bingo prizes for the day centre.
