A Norfolk amateur boxing club has welcomed its 900th member.
Since its conception in 2008, Attleborough Boxing Club (ABC) has grown rapidly, becoming the fourth largest amateur boxing club in England.
Lisa Davies became the landmark 900th member of the club earlier this month, and chairman Colin Kilby presented her with an ABC T-shirt to mark the occasion.
Mr Kilby said the success of the club, which is run entirely by volunteers, was 'incredible'.
He said: 'It's been an absolutely incredible success and it just continues to grow.
'Nobody at the club is paid whatsoever, which makes the story all the more incredible really, and obviously none of this would have been possible with out all the people involved who give up their time for the club.'
As ABC reaches its 10th anniversary year, Mr Kilby said the club was hoping to continue growing.
He said: 'It's a very, very busy club, always looking to encourage new people of all ages to join in, from five or six year olds right the way up to adults. We have all kinds of classes six days a week. We cover elite boxers, senior boxers, junior boxers, ladies, or just recreational. Everybody is welcome.
'We're hoping for the 1000th this year to mark our 10th anniversary.'
Mr Kilby said the 900 members of the club had joined for lots of different reasons.
He said: 'Parents often bring their kids in for the discipline and respect side of things. Maybe they're overactive at school and by coming in and doing our intense training course can often calm them down in their personal lives.
'Lots of kids also come in to start with because they're being bullied. Others are perhaps overweight and just want to get fit.
'Plus the popularity of boxing is growing in the UK thanks to the likes of Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Katie Taylor.'
As well as reaping rewards for members, the club has also been credited with lowering crime in the area.
Mr Kilby said: 'The chief inspector said to me at a council meeting last year that there had been a 12pc reduction in crime in the area, and they believed the club to be a big part of that.
'If you're into boxing you can't go out drinking on weekends, the two just don't go together, so you're keeping off the streets and out of trouble.' To celebrate its 10th anniversary year, the club will be holding a series of events throughout the year, including a dinner show in May and an Autumn Ball.
