Assault being investigated at Attleborough hospital for young people

Norfolk police have confirmed they are investigating an incident of assault at Ellingham Hospital in Attleborough.
The hospital is a 30-bed low secure hospital for young people aged 12 to 18 with behavioural or psychological difficulties and it has an Ofsted registered school.
The alleged assault happened on September 9 at the site, which is run by Partnerships in Care and is on Ellingham Road.
Partnerships in Care say that after the alleged incident an agency staff member no longer works with patients.
A spokesman for Partnerships in Care said: 'We can confirm there was an allegation of this nature in September which we have taken extremely seriously.
'The hospital acted promptly so that the agency staff member no longer works with any of our patients.
'The matter is currently with the police and we are unable to comment further.

Norfolk police would not reveal who was assaulted or make any further comment on the allegation concerning Ellingham Hospital except to confirm it was investigating the assault.
