Seven studios, featuring the work of 10 artists, will be open to the public, as part of a Norfolk village's fourth, annual Christmas arts trail.

Visitors to Dersingham, near King's Lynn, are encouraged to visit each studio on the trail to meet the artists and look at their latest work.

A standout from the work on show is a painting completed inside the Forum in Norwich by regular trail member and professional artist, Stephen Martyn.

He said: 'That painting took two hours to do. It was a cold day and I was glad to be inside the Forum. Earlier, I'd been painting on the castle battlements in Norwich.'

Mr Martyn has painted in the US, Australia, South Africa, and even on the Great Wall of China. His favourite location for landscape painting is the north-west Norfolk coast near his home in Dersingham.

There are three new members of the Dersingham group: Ben Mullarkey, Lois Williams, and Valerie Anckorn.

The other regular trail members are Marty Griffin, Jill Ilett, Michael Smith, Liz Stockley, June Mullarkey and Jo Halpin Jones.

The art trail takes place on Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29, from 10am to 4pm. Original work, prints and greetings cards will be on sale.

Maps of studio locations are available from Dersingham Pottery at 48, Chapel Road, PE31 6PN and from other places around the village. Or visit the website DersinghamArtTrail.org
