Fire crews were called to two arson attacks in Mousehold Heath in Norwich yesterday (Saturday).

The call was made at around 11.30am and a crew from Sprowston was sent.

The fires, which each spread to an area of around 15sqm, were started around the Vinegar pond of the heath.

Hose reel jets were used to put out the fires.

A fire spokesman said: 'This is believed to be deliberate ignition.'

Earlier this month firefighters criticised arsonists who started a string of blazes at Mousehold Heath and warned that people could have been killed by their idiotic actions.
