SIX people have been arrested following a street fight in Great Yarmouth.

The fight, involving up to 15 people, happened in the early hours on Sunday, January 16, in Northgate Street.

Response officers dealt with the incident after arriving on scene shortly after 12.15am and four people suffered injuries.

Three men aged 17, 18, and 20, and two women, aged 16 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of affray and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

They have all been bailed until a later date in February pending further enquiries.

Insp Paul McCarthy said: 'The action taken by officers meant the fight was broken up swiftly and these arrests should act as a warning to others – disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated.'
