A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a home in Silverwood Close in Lowestoft where the property was trashed before items including jewellery and a laptop computer were stolen.
The teenager was arrested yesterday in connection with the break-in which happened between 5pm and 9pm on Sunday 15 January.
During the burglary the home was ransacked with items pulled from cupboards, glass and a TV smashed, milk and eggs thrown around and a fire extinguisher was sprayed over furniture, carpets and curtains.
After his arrest the 14-year-old was interviewed in connection with this burgary and several other burglaries at homes in the town.
He has now been bailed to return to police on February 20, pending further enquiries.
