Around 500 Rainbows came together for a Norfolk celebration at the weekend.

The special girl-only Mad Hatter's Tea Party was held on Saturday and Sunday, with forty groups of five to seven-year-old girls and their leaders travelling from all across Girlguiding Anglia for the event.

The celebration was held at the Hautbois Activity Centre near Coltishall and saw the girls making their own Alice looking glasses and White Rabbit stopwatches.

Organiser Elaine Shields said: 'This was an excellent way for the girls to come together and meet other Rainbows from around the region.

'It was a magical afternoon of escapism and the girls really enjoyed everything from the special low ropes course to the magic show.'

Dancing, a 'Magic Key' challenge and a special Cheshire Cat-themed low ropes course were also part of the fun, along with a tea, cupcakes and a White Rabbit magic show.

Daisy Ede, from 2nd Aylsham Rainbows, added: 'My favourite thing today was dancing with the Mad Hatter, he said made up words it was really funny.'
