Armed police arrest man in city

Armed police arrested a man in Norwich city centre today after reports he was wielding a gun and threatening to kill an office worker.

Armed police arrested a man in Castle Meadow, Norwich, today after reports he was wielding a gun and threatening to kill an office worker.

Officers were alerted by concerned members of the public and tracked the suspect using CCTV.

The man who was in his thirties was seen entering an office building where he was arrested at about 11am for making threats to kill.

No shots were fired during the arrest and no one was injured. No firearms have been recovered.
