It's an age-old problem and there are thousands of supposed remedies but snoring is still a major bone of contention in many homes after lights out.
But now the BBC is hoping to put an end to the nocturnal racket by researching the problem for a new programme to be shown at the start of next year.
Called 10 Things You Didn't Know About Sleep, the programme will suggest some of the remedies that actually work but in order to test them they want to find Britain's loudest and most annoying snorer.
If you are a snorer or a long-suffering partner call the BBC on 0141 422 7325 or email on snoring@bbc.co.uk to enter the competition with the winner announced later this month.
