A team of archaeologists from Cambridge has started a dig at a site in north Norfolk.
The site, off Back Lane in Roughton, near Cromer, is due to be built on for housing.
The three-strong team from Oxford Archaeology East has already built trenches at the site, which has been an open field for many years.
Team member Gosia Kwiatkowska said: 'We will be here this week and part of next week.'
