Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a 59-year-old man from Great Yarmouth who was reported missing earlier this week.

Michael Manning was last heard from in a phone call on Monday morning, but has not been seen since and there is concern for his well-being.

Police say he appears not to have taken his mobile phone with him – or supplies of the medication he is on – and has also failed to turn up at several locations that he regularly frequents.

Mr Manning is described as white, of average build, with greying hair and glasses and usually wears casual clothing, possibly jeans.

He does not have a car and therefore may have walked, used public transport or hitchhiked in town or travelled further afield.

He is known to enjoy gambling and it is possible he may have visited bookmakers in the area.

Police are appealing for any sightings of Mr Manning since Monday and are also asking him, or anyone who knows where he is now, to get in touch.

If anyone can help they should contact the duty sergeant at Great Yarmouth police station on 101.
