Police are seeking information after a woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours.

The woman, in her early 20s, was walking along London Road South in Kirkley about 2.15am yesterday (Sunday, May 8) when she was approached by a man.

The man introduced himself as 'Michael' and engaged her in conversation, but when the young woman asked him to go away, he grabbed her clothing and put his hand up her dress. She screamed and ran away.

The man is described as being in his 30s to early 40s, about 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build, with a bald head. He was wearing a grey jumper and jeans. Police are asking anyone who may have seen him in the area, or anyone with information about who he is, to call officers at Lowestoft on 101, quoting crime number 31926/16.
