Police are appealing for help after a car crashed into a pedestrian in Lowestoft last night.
A 19-year-old and a friend were crossing Yarmouth Road in the town at about 11.20pm when they noticed a silver vehicle just north of the BP garage.
Moments later, just as the two were reaching the kerb on the other side of the road, the 19-year-old was struck by the car but the driver failed to stop and continued on up the A12.
Suffolk police are now asking for the driver, or anyone with information about who he or she is, to contact officers on 01986 835300.
The 19-year-old sustained what is believed to be a broken ankle in the crash.
