Appeal after attempted robbery in Caister

Detectives are appealing for witness to come forward following a report of an attempted robbery in Caister.

It happened on Friday, August 26 at around 11pm when the victim was walking along Covent Garden Road.

When he arrived at the junction with Royal Thames Road he was approached by an unknown man who threatened him and attempted to steal his belongings.

The victim defended himself and the offender fled the scene.

He is described as being white, approximately 6ft 1in and of a heavy build.

He was wearing a grey hoody and jogging bottoms.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information about the incident should contact DC Gavin Rivett at Great Yarmouth CID on 101.
