A terminally ill woman from Norwich raised nearly £3,000 at a special sale of her huge collection of craft materials - but is still looking to home her knitted pergola.
Ann Meijer's collection of fabric, haberdashery, books, crafting tools and finished items were sold at The Forum in Norwich last week on September 11 and 12.
Now the Norwich University of the Arts graduate is looking to find a new home for a full size knitted pergola.
Decorated with hand-made flowers, birds and butterflies, it is hoped to become a unique centre piece for a spring wedding or a colourful and eye catching display in a shop, stately home, hotel or care home.
The pergola and another impressive creation - a 15ft high knitted Christmas tree - have both been displayed in The Forum over the past few years.
The funds will be used to support the residents of John Groom's Court, a home for disabled adults on Sprowston Road. Mrs Meijer's daughter, Catherine, lives at John Groom's Court where the money will help enhance the life of the residents, paying for activities, entertainment and outings.
The 71-year-old said: 'I am delighted that the items in my collection have gone to good homes and that so much money has been raised.
'It was a splendid couple of days and I was amazed by the numbers who came along.
'I feel sure that someone will see its potential as decorative addition to a fete, hotel, reception area or family event, like a wedding or a christening.'
Jayne Evans, events and partnerships manager at The Forum, said: 'Ann's projects have not only raised thousands for charity but have also enabled hundreds of people, with a love of knitting and crochet, to get involved in something that changes lives.
'It is always a great pleasure to work with Ann.
'Everyone at The Forum is aware that this is a difficult time for Ann and her family and we hope that someone will buy the pergola knowing that by doing so they will make a lot of people smile.'
