An ambulance is out of service after being involved in a crash with a van in Trowse Newton earlier today.
The ambulance, which had blue lights on at the time, collided with the van on a slip road off the A47, whilst on its way to tend to a man in Halesworth, who was having difficulty breathing.
The crash happened at around 1.30pm, and caused damage to both the ambulance and the van. However, there were no injuries.
A paramedic was already on scene at the home of the Halesworth man, who was in his nineties, at the time of the crash, and a separate ambulance crew has taken the man to James Paget Hospital.
